Finding the Right
Hearing Solution

The right hearing solution is unique
to your lifestyle, preferences, and needs.

Getting Started: We Simplify the Process

It’s easier to find the correct hearing aid when you have experts in your corner.  HearingPlanet is your unbiased partner to help you get the process started.

From diagnosing your hearing needs to identifying the right hearing aid and getting the perfect fit from one of our endorsed local clinics, HearingPlanet can help guide you along the way.

The first step to take when considering hearing aids starts with a conversation with one of our Personal Hearing Consultants.  Your Personal Hearing Consultant will listen to you and complete a hearing profile with you to better understand your daily listening environments, hearing challenges and communication needs.

Knowing Your Options

With all the available options and choices, choosing hearing aids can be overwhelming. For many, the process is daunting – selecting the right hearing healthcare clinic, understanding the differences between the brands, styles, variability in pricing, and clarity around how hearing aids perform in different listening environments.

Testing and Treatment

Research shows that most people wait an average of seven years from the time they notice their hearing loss until the time they decide to address it. And only 25% of those who can benefit from treatment eventually take action. Until a solution is sought, most individuals use coping mechanisms like turning up the volume, picking a specific seat in a restaurant, avoiding environments with loud background noises, or simply staying home and avoiding social situations all together.

As time goes on without treatment, our brains get used to hearing less sound. This makes it harder to re-adapt once we gain back those sounds through treatment solutions. This is possibly the best reason to act now – why put it off? HearingPlanet will kick-start the process by scheduling a no-obligation consultation with one of our Personal Hearing Consultants.

Scheduling a Hearing Test

Finding the right hearing solution often involves much more than simply choosing one particular device.  In fact, you may even find more than one brand or style of device that works for your personal hearing solution. That’s why, at HearingPlanet, we believe the most critical component on your path to hearing health is finding the right Hearing Healthcare Professional.

There are many different clinics and providers available to choose from, so we understand it can be difficult to know which provider would be the best match for you. This is why working with one of HearingPlanet’s Personal Hearing Consultants will help you. We can walk you through the process, and help you decide what you are looking for, what you need, and where to go. With over 17 years in the business, we know the best clinics in your area. We spend time credentialing them so you don’t have to. Our network of Endorsed Local Clinics is your resource for local evaluation and comprehensive hearing testing.

Visiting a Locally Endorsed Hearing Clinic

When you arrive for your appointment at one of our 1,600 Endorsed Local Clinics, you’ll receive a thorough exam of the ears. This exam may reveal any number of things, such as excessive earwax, eardrum damage, or other hearing-related conditions. Some problems like earwax build-up can be resolved quickly and easily, and other issues may need actual treatment such as hearing aids before you will see improvement.

During your visit, you’ll also receive a comprehensive hearing evaluation, including pure tone testing, speech understanding, and other specialized tests if needed. Your Hearing Healthcare Professional will then discuss your test results and, if discovered, will explain the degree and nature of your hearing loss. If hearing loss is diagnosed, hearing aid options will be explored and all of your questions will be answered.

Because your hearing health is so important, HearingPlanet highly recommends that you bring your spouse or loved one to the clinic visit. Although your hearing loss is personal to you, it also likely impacts those around you who care about you. We’ve found that overwhelmingly, including your loved ones in the process leads to a more successful fitting and adaptation period, as they are able to gain an appreciation for your hearing journey.
