Serving Patients Virtually
At Hearing Planet, we're encouraging all of our clients to take the health crisis seriously and follow the recommendations of our nation's healthcare experts. We are doing our part to abide by the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease and Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and encouraging our network of hearing clinics to limit patient visits and sanitize work areas.
Thanks to advancements in technology, hearing clinics are still open to help you virtually. They are investing in the latest cutting-edge telehealth technologies and can now see patients online. The best part is that all you need is a computer or a cell phone.

Telehealth and curbside services are now avaiable in many hearing center locations.
Telehealth and Online Care
With telehealth services, you can now attend your appointments from the comfort of your own home. A telehealth meeting is usually done over a video conferencing software (like Microsoft Teams or Zoom), is very patient-friendly, and requires minimal setup on the patient's part. Hearing Care Providers can treat a variety of routine visits through telehealth such as:
- General support with your device
- Training and counseling
- Fine-tuning hearing aid fittings
So far, we've been receiving very positive feedback. So much so, that its efficiency and ease of use have made it the preferred type of appointment among many clients.
"I had a patient that bought an IPad after her appointment and she wanted to know how to pair it to her hearing aids. Since we were remotely connected to her cellphone I called on her home phone and talked her through downloading the MyPhonak app through the Apple store on her IPad, turning off the Bluetooth on a device she was not using and pairing her hearing aids to her IPad. I called her back on her cellphone to make sure she knew how to reconnect her cellphone from her IPad. This remote support was done quickly and efficiently!"

Emergency Appointments
As we make every effort to respect social distancing guidelines here at Hearing Planet, we know some hearing needs can't wait. Therefore, it is important to note what our network of clinics define as emergencies visits:
What is considered an emergency?
- Essential hearing care needs
- Damaged device
- Employed in vital services (e.g. health, medicine, logistics, supermarket workers)
Curbside deliveries and some home appointments appointments are available in select clinics. Please contact us to find out which services your local hearing centers are providing.
