Blue Lakes Trail, Colorado

Everyone loves a great hiking trail. The Blue Lakes Trail is located near Ridgway, Colorado and is approximately 7.9 miles long. This trail is accessible from June until November each year and attracts hundreds of tourists each year. Not only does this trail offer amazing views it also offers a wide variety of sounds.

Hiking through this trail you may hear an occasional dog bark, which is totally normal since pets are allowed on this trail. You may also hear wildlife such as the Three-toed Woodpecker as they scale the bark off of dead trees or Moose as they clench their thirst in the lake. These are just a couple of the sounds you may hear from wildlife.

No matter what time of year you visit the steady flow of the lake will be a constant sound that will keep you moving along the trail.

 

Seaside sounds

Cape Elizabeth, Maine

On the shore of Casco Bay sits a quaint and historical town known as Cape Elizabeth. This area has been inhabited for thousands of years, first by natives and then by Europeans in the early 17th century.

This town is home to many beautiful lighthouses, including Maine's oldest known as the "Portland Head Light". There are also wonderful parks, trails and picnic spots in Cape Elizabeth. While visiting you will hear the ever calming sea sounds as the waves beat the shoreline. As well as the sounds of fishing boats as sailors catch fresh seafood.
