Auto-Morphic™ Switching: Continuously morphs between omni and directional responses, providing smooth transitions. Adapts based on SNR, level of the noise, and level of wind. Functions independently in four frequency regions.

Focused Null Steering: Continuously morphs among polar patterns providing smooth transitions. Adapts based on the angle of the loudest input. Functions independently in four frequency regions

DIRECTIONALfocus™: Adaptive manipulation of gain based on the location of noise. Sound “in focus” (front) receive the most gain. Sound “out of focus” (sides and rear) are gradually attenuated. Functions independently in 24 compression channels.

The Environment-Based Programming makes it easier than ever to create listening programs designed specifically for your lifestyle. This feature allows you and the Hearing Professional to work together and create up to 4 listening programs based off eight pre-set real-life scenarios. The Hybrid Noise Reduction provides a fixed amount of noise reduction for soft sounds and then adapts or increases the amount as the noise level increases. This provides a more precise level of wearing comfort for the wearer.

New with the Ion 400 are the water-resistant features for improved reliability and performance. To control the effects of moisture, a GORE membrane covers the microphones, a hydrophobic coating on the casing shields the device, and an O-ring seal integrated in the battery door also controls moisture.
